THE STORY OF PLAISIR DU JARDIN
The PLAISIR DU JARDIN brand has been in existence for over 40 years, with the opening of garden furniture shops in South Africa: there were no 100% outdoor shops in this country, where the weather is fine all year round and demand for outdoor equipment was high! It was an instant success.
A few years later, it was decided to replicate the same strategy in Belgium, where there were also no 100% garden furniture shops (there was some garden furniture in nurseries and lawnmower dealers……but this was never their core business).
Belgians love beautiful things, they look after their interiors and they look after their gardens. Plaisir du Jardin quickly realised that Belgians wanted to turn their outdoors into a convivial space. The success of the shop in Brussels was also immediate.
In 2011, Plaisir du Jardin extended and extensively renovated its commercial building in Uccle (photo attached of the shop at its launch). Plaisir du Jardin then launched its own collection imported directly from Asia and presented it on its terraces in Uccle and in its OUTLET housed in its 2,000 m2 warehouse in Braine L’Alleud.
