Customer Expectations
This house with its contemporary architecture is located in a residential area on the edge of the Forêt de Soignes. The owner is a design enthusiast and agent for Éditions Assouline in Europe. With a long, narrow terrace to contend with, the client wanted to combine indoor and outdoor space in a relaxed, convivial way. The aim was to mix indoor and outdoor furniture to suit different uses, while keeping budgets under control.
Our Approach
Given the size of the terrace, we opted for a modular sofa with removable and interchangeable backrests. This gives flexibility of use, combined with small nesting coffee tables that are easy to move around.
As the owner is a vintage furniture enthusiast, the dining table and chairs were chosen for their revisited sixties spirit.
The Final Result
The result of this project is a very personal arrangement of the terraces, responding to the client’s wishes in terms of both style and flexibility.
All the furniture is from the Joli, Diphano and Manutti brands.
